Very fine swans indeed

I’m filling in for our biodiversity blogger Christine Berry to bring you this week’s exciting developments from The National Archives’ pond. In Christine’s last post, she talked about the pair of adult swans nesting on the lower pond: this week, the eggs hatched! Staff here managed to take these pictures, though we’re being careful not to get too close.

Thanks very much Diane – if you add your photos to Flickr or another photo sharing site, please do let us know as we’d be happy to add the link to this post.

There were three cygnets and both adult swans swimming this morning – has anyone spotted the fourth?
